I have had a unique path on my way to Etreev. I began my career working with non-profits. In so doing, I discovered a group of people that always seemed to be in short supply of the stuff they needed. I then switched over to the for-profit sector, working with a construction company that primarily built Self Storage facilities. In so doing, I discovered a group of people that had more stuff than they knew what to do with.

After leaving the construction industry, I decided that there had to be a better way of connecting the first group with the second. So, I recruited my father, Craig Korthase, and a mentor, Gerry Hartis, to help me in my quest. We started an LLC called Korthase Enterprises with the purpose of launching businesses that help people discover ways to responsibly distribute their unneeded items. In my quest, I discovered a company called iReuse, which has built an online system to automate this process. Etreev now uses the iReuse system to provide services that bridge the gap between material deficiency and surplus.

I would like to say I've been in the environmental movement all my life, but I can't. I'm a recent convert. There has been a bit of criticism thrown at people jumping on the "green" bandwagon, and I'm the first to admit that I jumped on. But it's a great bandwagon to be on, and the more people that jump on, the more powerful the movement becomes! Why don't you join us?

To provide accessible, environmentally-friendly, and affordable solutions for medium to large companies to distribute their unneeded belongings.

Etreev strives to be the go-to surplus asset solution for companies in the DC Metro, Baltimore, and surrounding areas.
